Low Safety Shoes DAKOTA S1 by VM Footwear combine robust natural leather, a composite safety toe cap and a high-quality MICHELIN® outsole. They are designed for users who need reliable toe protection and comfort during everyday professional work.

The upper is made from CRAZY HORSE cowhide leather, 1.8–2.0 mm thick. The robust leather provides a durable construction and a distinctive workwear appearance. The black colour makes the shoes easy to combine with different types of workwear.

The interior features a laminated breathable MESH lining. It contributes to breathability and comfort during prolonged wear.

Standard Description

The EN ISO 20345:2023 standard specifies requirements for safety footwear. DAKOTA uses a composite safety toe cap to protect the toes against impact and compression.

The S1 classification includes a closed heel area, antistatic properties and heel energy absorption. DAKOTA does not have a penetration-resistant protective midsole. It should therefore not be confused with S1P or the newer S1PL and S1PS classifications.

The FO marking indicates outsole resistance to fuel oil. The MICHELIN® PU/rubber outsole on DAKOTA meets this requirement and also has antistatic properties.

The SR marking indicates additional tested slip resistance under the current standard. It evaluates the footwear's grip on a specified test surface under defined conditions.

The S1 category does not require a water-resistant upper or waterproof performance of the entire shoe. DAKOTA is therefore primarily intended for dry working environments.

The MICHELIN® Technical Soles outsole combines polyurethane and rubber. Its construction provides fuel-oil resistance, antistatic properties and slip resistance.
