Low Safety Shoes PENSYLVANIA DIELECTRIC SB
Low Safety Shoes PENSYLVANIA DIELECTRIC SB by VM Footwear are specialized safety footwear designed for work environments where electrical hazards may be present alongside mechanical risks. The model combines durable cowhide leather, a composite safety toe cap, a Kevlar penetration-resistant midsole and a PU/RUBBER outsole resistant to contact heat up to 300 °C. The lower part of the footwear provides dielectric protection up to 10 kV in accordance with EN 50321.
The upper is made from brushed and coated cowhide leather with a thickness of 1.8–2.0 mm. High-quality leather provides durability, abrasion resistance and a reliable construction for everyday professional use. The coated surface also contributes to material resistance and easier maintenance.
The lining is made from laminated, breathable MESH fabric, allowing air circulation and contributing to a more comfortable internal climate. The breathable lining helps maintain comfort during prolonged wear, including in demanding working conditions.
The anatomically shaped HI-POLY insole is made from lightweight polyurethane foam and covered with MESH fabric. Its construction provides foot support and cushioning during walking and standing, contributing to comfort throughout the working day.
The PU/RUBBER outsole is fuel-oil resistant, slip resistant and resistant to contact heat up to 300 °C (HRO). The composite safety toe cap protects the toes against impact and compression, while the Kevlar insert provides non-metallic penetration protection. The special dielectric construction of the lower part of the footwear provides protection against electric shock up to 10 kV in accordance with EN 50321. The model is certified according to EN ISO 20345:2011 with the classification SB P HRO SRC.
Areas of use
Low Safety Shoes PENSYLVANIA DIELECTRIC SB are intended for professional users who require safety footwear for work environments with a risk of electric shock. They are suitable for certain electrical installation, maintenance, industrial and service tasks where appropriate dielectric protection is required. Thanks to the composite toe cap, Kevlar midsole and heat-resistant outsole, they are also useful for work involving mechanical hazards and demanding surfaces.
When working with electricity, the footwear must be used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, applicable safety procedures and an appropriate risk assessment. Dielectric footwear does not replace other necessary protective measures or personal protective equipment.

Standard Description
The EN ISO 20345:2011 standard specifies basic and additional requirements for safety footwear. The SB classification indicates basic protection, including a safety toe cap tested against an impact energy of 200 J and compression force of 15 kN. The P designation indicates penetration-resistant midsole protection, provided in the PENSYLVANIA model by a Kevlar insert.
The HRO designation indicates outsole resistance to contact heat up to 300 °C under prescribed test conditions. SRC indicates slip resistance tested on ceramic tiles with a detergent solution and on steel with glycerol. The outsole is additionally resistant to fuel oil.
The EN 50321 standard relates to electrically insulating footwear for work in electrically hazardous environments. For the PENSYLVANIA model, the manufacturer states that the lower part of the footwear provides protection against electric shock at voltages up to 10 kV. This property must be understood within the prescribed test conditions, manufacturer's instructions and appropriate use; it does not mean that the footwear alone provides sufficient protection for every type of live electrical work.
