QUITO S1 meets the requirements of EN ISO 20345:2011 and has an S1 HRO SRC safety classification. This standard specifies requirements for safety footwear, including mechanical toe protection and additional protective properties.

The safety toe cap must withstand an impact energy of 200 J and a compression force of 15 kN. QUITO features a steel safety toe cap that provides mechanical toe protection at work.

The S1 category includes toe protection, an enclosed heel, antistatic properties and heel energy absorption. It is primarily intended for dry workplaces where toe protection is required but additional penetration protection is not specified.

QUITO S1 does not have certified sole penetration protection. Workplaces with a risk from nails, metal offcuts or other sharp objects require footwear with appropriate certified penetration protection.

The HRO marking confirms outsole resistance to contact heat at 300°C during a standardised short-duration test. It does not indicate suitability for continuous exposure to this temperature. Nor does it mean the entire boot is resistant to extreme heat.
