High Safety Shoes CONNECTICUT BOA S7 by VM Footwear are designed for demanding workplaces where waterproof performance, mechanical protection and long-lasting comfort are essential. They combine water-repellent smooth cowhide leather, a GORE-TEX® membrane, BOA® Fit System and a technical MICHELIN® outsole.

The upper is made from smooth cowhide leather, 2.0–2.2 mm thick. Its water-repellent treatment reduces water absorption, while the durable leather construction withstands everyday mechanical stress. The black colour with orange details gives the boots a distinctive professional appearance.

The waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX® membrane prevents water from entering the boots while allowing moisture vapour to escape. Together with certified WR waterproof performance for the entire boot, it provides protection when working in rain and wet environments.

An anatomically shaped HI-POLY insole adds comfort. Made from lightweight polyurethane foam and covered with breathable MESH fabric, it supports the foot, helps cushion movement and has antistatic properties.

Standard Description

CONNECTICUT BOA S7 has an S7L FO HRO AN SR classification under EN ISO 20345:2022. This includes toe protection, penetration resistance, whole-shoe waterproof performance, ankle protection and additional protective properties.

The composite safety toe cap protects against impact and compression. Under the standard, it must withstand an impact energy of 200 J and a compression force of 15 kN.

The S7L marking identifies safety footwear with certified WR waterproof performance for the entire boot and a non-metallic PL penetration-resistant midsole. It also includes antistatic properties and heel energy absorption.

The Kevlar PL penetration-resistant midsole is tested using a 4.5 mm diameter nail. It reduces the risk of injury from sharp objects on the ground. Penetration protection has limitations, so footwear should be selected according to workplace hazards.

WR waterproof performance means the entire boot has passed a standardised water penetration test. The waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX® membrane complements this protection.

The AN marking confirms certified ankle protection against impact. The high-cut design and protective construction reduce the risk of injuries around the ankle but cannot prevent every possible injury.

The FO marking confirms outsole resistance to fuel oils. The HRO marking confirms contact heat resistance during a standardised test involving a surface at 300 °C for a limited period. It does not mean the footwear is suitable for continuous exposure to that temperature.

The SR marking confirms additional slip resistance under EN ISO 20345:2022. Testing involves a ceramic surface with glycerol and does not guarantee equal grip on every surface.
