Standard Description

DUBLIN S3 is classified as S3 HRO SRC under EN ISO 20345. This standard specifies requirements for safety footwear, including mechanical toe protection and additional protective properties according to the relevant category.

The safety toe cap must withstand an impact energy of 200 J and a compression force of 15 kN. DUBLIN features a composite safety toe cap that provides protection without a metal toe cap.

The S3 category includes toe protection, an enclosed heel, antistatic properties and heel energy absorption. It also requires upper resistance to water penetration and absorption, penetration protection and an appropriately designed outsole.

A Kevlar midsole provides penetration resistance. This non-metallic protective component reduces the risk of injury from sharp objects on the ground. The P marking follows the requirements of the earlier edition of EN ISO 20345.

The HRO marking confirms outsole resistance to contact heat at 300°C during a standardised short-duration test. It does not indicate suitability for continuous exposure to this temperature. Nor does it mean the entire boot is resistant to extreme heat.
