The EN ISO 20345:2011 standard specifies requirements for safety footwear. The protective toe cap must withstand an impact energy of 200 J and a compression force of 15 kN. OHIO is equipped with a composite safety toe cap.

The S1P classification includes the basic S1 requirements and additional penetration protection. S1 includes a closed heel area, antistatic properties and heel energy absorption. The Kevlar midsole in OHIO provides the required penetration protection.

The S1P category does not require a water-resistant upper or waterproof performance of the entire shoe. The model is therefore primarily intended for dry working environments.

The SRC rating means the footwear passed both SRA and SRB slip-resistance tests. These tests use ceramic tiles with detergent and steel surfaces with glycerol. According to the manufacturer, the MICHELIN® EVA/RUBBER outsole is also antistatic and fuel-oil resistant.
