High Safety Shoes CURYCH ANTICUT S7
High Safety Shoes CURYCH ANTICUT S7 by VM Footwear are specialised safety boots for chainsaw operations and demanding outdoor work. They combine Level 2 chainsaw cut protection, a waterproof GORE-TEX® membrane, a composite safety toe cap and a Kevlar penetration-resistant midsole.
The upper is made from water-repellent brushed VELOUR cowhide leather, 2.0–2.2 mm thick. This durable leather withstands everyday mechanical stress, while its water-repellent treatment reduces water absorption. The orange colour gives the boots a distinctive appearance.
A key feature is Level 2 chainsaw cut protection under EN ISO 17249. The protective construction includes an internal Kevlar lining and Kevlar stitching. It is designed to reduce the risk of injury during chainsaw operations, but it cannot guarantee complete protection against every cut.
The waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX® membrane prevents water from entering the boots while allowing moisture vapour to escape. Combined with certified WR waterproof performance for the entire boot, it provides protection when working in rain, wet forests and other damp environments.
An anatomically shaped HI-POLY insole adds comfort. Made from lightweight polyurethane foam and covered with breathable MESH fabric, it supports the foot and has antistatic properties.
The bonded rubber outsole resists fuel oils, has antistatic properties and provides slip resistance. A composite safety toe cap and non-metallic Kevlar PL penetration-resistant midsole provide additional mechanical protection.
The model meets EN ISO 20345:2022 – S7L FO CI SR and EN ISO 17249 – Level 2 chainsaw protection requirements. The CI marking confirms cold insulation in the lower part of the boot.
Areas of use
High Safety Shoes CURYCH ANTICUT S7 are primarily intended for forestry, tree felling, forest maintenance and other tasks involving chainsaws. They are also suitable for demanding outdoor work involving moisture, cold and mechanical hazards.
Level 2 chainsaw protection is the model's defining feature. The internal Kevlar protective lining and Kevlar stitching form part of a construction designed to reduce injury risks from contact with a chainsaw chain.
The water-repellent VELOUR leather and GORE-TEX® membrane make the boots suitable for wet forests, rain and damp terrain. Certified WR waterproof performance applies to the entire boot. The membrane's breathability contributes to comfort during prolonged work.
CI cold insulation reduces heat loss through the lower part of the boot. This property is useful when working on cold ground, but it does not establish a minimum suitable operating temperature.
The composite toe cap and Kevlar penetration-resistant midsole provide additional protection against impact, compression and sharp objects on the ground. The rubber outsole with SR slip resistance contributes to grip but cannot prevent slipping on every surface, particularly ice.
Level 2 protection does not replace safe chainsaw handling or other required personal protective equipment. Footwear should be selected according to the risk assessment and the type and chain speed of the chainsaw being used.

Standard Description
CURYCH ANTICUT S7 combines safety footwear requirements under EN ISO 20345:2022 with chainsaw cut protection under EN ISO 17249. Its protective classification is S7L FO CI SR, ANTICUT LEVEL 2.
Level 2 chainsaw protection is designed to reduce injuries caused by contact with a moving chainsaw chain. Level 2 corresponds to a standardised test at a chain speed of 24 m/s. Test conditions cannot represent every possible situation encountered during actual work.
The composite safety toe cap protects against impact and compression. Under EN ISO 20345, it must withstand an impact energy of 200 J and a compression force of 15 kN.
The S7L marking includes certified WR waterproof performance for the entire boot and a non-metallic PL penetration-resistant midsole. It also includes antistatic properties, heel energy absorption and other requirements of the safety category.
The Kevlar PL penetration-resistant midsole is tested using a 4.5 mm diameter nail. It reduces the risk of injury from sharp objects on the ground. Penetration resistance is separate from chainsaw cut protection.
WR waterproof performance means the entire boot has passed a standardised water penetration test. The GORE-TEX® membrane complements this protection while allowing moisture vapour to escape.
The CI marking confirms cold insulation in the lower part of the boot. The FO marking confirms outsole resistance to fuel oils.
The SR marking confirms additional slip resistance under EN ISO 20345:2022. Testing involves a ceramic surface with glycerol and does not guarantee equal grip on every surface.
The model has antistatic properties but is not separately specified as certified ESD or electrically insulating footwear. It also has no separately specified certified HRO contact heat resistance.
Collection Description
CURYCH ANTICUT S7 belongs to the Safety collection by VM Footwear. It is specialised protective footwear for professional chainsaw operations where cut protection, waterproof performance and mechanical resistance are essential.
The brushed VELOUR cowhide leather, 2.0–2.2 mm thick, provides a durable upper. Its water-repellent treatment reduces water absorption and contributes to performance in demanding weather conditions.
The Kevlar protective lining and Kevlar stitching form part of the chainsaw cut-resistant construction. The model achieves Level 2 under EN ISO 17249 and is intended for workplaces requiring this level of protection.
The GORE-TEX® membrane provides waterproof protection while allowing moisture vapour to escape. Together with certified WR waterproof performance and CI cold insulation, it contributes to comfort during work in wet and cold environments.
The anatomically shaped HI-POLY insole is made from lightweight polyurethane foam and covered with breathable MESH fabric. The composite safety toe cap and Kevlar PL penetration-resistant midsole provide additional protection against mechanical hazards.
The bonded rubber outsole resists fuel oils, has antistatic properties and meets SR slip resistance requirements. The orange colour gives the model a distinctive appearance, while the high-cut design provides additional ankle coverage.
Proper care helps maintain the boots' quality. Clean the brushed leather regularly with a soft brush and suitable VELOUR leather care products. Use products compatible with footwear containing a GORE-TEX® membrane and follow the manufacturer's instructions.
Allow the boots to dry naturally after use. Keep them away from radiators and direct heat sources. Regularly inspect the leather, stitching, outsole and protective components. Replace the footwear if damage could compromise its chainsaw protection.
Choose High Safety Shoes CURYCH ANTICUT S7 when your work requires Level 2 chainsaw protection, waterproof performance and additional mechanical protection. They are designed for demanding professional forestry work and other environments with appropriately assessed hazards.
