The Securite waterproof winter parka is perfect for cold and rainy weather and for working in conditions of reduced visibility. It is made of polyester fabric with a polyurethane (PU) coating, which in combination with welded seams provides protection against water and wind penetration (2000 mm). The parka has a polyester lining and polyester filling that provides warmth and comfort. The Securite winter parka closes with a zipper and a flap with buttons. The collar is lined, and it hides a fixed hood. Eight pockets ensure greater functionality (1 chest pocket, 2 lower sewn pockets with a flap, 2 sleeve pockets, 1 Napoleon pocket and 2 inner pockets). For a better fit, the width of the sleeves can be adjusted with a Velcro strap, and the size can be adjusted in the waist with elastic cords. Five reflective strips (2 on the shoulders, 1 on the waist, 2 on the sleeve) ensure better visibility. The Securite winter parka has a removable badge or name holder on the chest pocket. The "PARKA" model indicates an extended model of the jacket.

Description of standards

The EN 343 standard is an international standard for protective clothing that specifies a minimum level of protection against wet weather, taking into account the overall construction of the garment in addition to the fabric used.

The EN 14058:2017 standard specifies performance requirements and test methods for clothing that provides protection against local cooling of the body in cold environments. Clothing that meets the requirements of the standard is intended for use in an environment characterized by a combination of moisture and wind (cooling effect of wind) at air temperatures above -5ºC.

The EN 17353 standard specifies requirements for equipment for improved visibility in the form of clothing or devices that can signal the presence of the user. Enhanced visibility equipment is intended to provide better visibility to the user in medium-risk situations in all daylight conditions and/or when illuminated by vehicle headlights or reflectors in the dark.

The standard replaces two separate standards:

• EN 1150:1999 - "Protective clothing. Visible clothing for non-professional use. Test methods and requirements';
• EN 13356:2001 - 'Visibility accessories for non-professional use. Test Methods and Requirements'.

EN 17353 combines elements of each of the withdrawn standards. All products that meet the requirements of the standard are no longer considered for use. Rather, their suitability in providing protection in medium-risk situations is defined by improved visibility.
