Safety Sandals VANCOUVER S1P by VM Footwear are breathable and fully non-metallic safety footwear for professional use. They combine durable cowhide leather, a composite safety toe cap, Kevlar penetration-resistant midsole, ESD properties and a MICHELIN® technical outsole.

The upper is made from coated and brushed cowhide leather, 1.8–2.0 mm thick. The leather construction provides a durable foundation for everyday professional use. The open safety sandal design promotes more effective air circulation around the foot.

The interior features laminated, breathable MESH fabric. Foot support is provided by an anatomically shaped HI-POLY insole made from lightweight polyurethane foam covered with MESH fabric. The insole has antistatic properties and is designed for comfort during prolonged wear.

Toe protection is provided by a composite safety toe cap, while a non-metallic Kevlar penetration-resistant midsole protects the underside of the foot. Together, these protective components create a fully NON METALLIC construction.

VANCOUVER S1P has an S1PL ESD FO SR safety classification under EN ISO 20345:2022 and ESD properties in accordance with EN ISO 61340-5-1:2016.

The composite safety toe cap is designed to protect the toes against an impact energy of 200 J and a compression force of 15 kN. Its non-metallic construction provides the required mechanical protection without using a steel toe cap.

The S1PL classification combines the requirements of the S1 category with non-metallic penetration resistance. The PL designation identifies a non-metallic penetration-resistant insert tested with a 4.5 mm nail. In VANCOUVER, this protection is provided by the Kevlar midsole.

The S1 category also includes an enclosed heel area, antistatic properties and energy absorption in the heel. FO indicates outsole resistance to fuel oils, while SR indicates additional tested slip resistance according to EN ISO 20345:2022.
